Inside Solstice
Solstice is a modern work of art perched amid lush gardens
and tropical forest looking down to its own private beach. It is furnished
primarily with custom-made furniture and original art designed for the house. The three bedroom suites
each have a queen bed, private bathroom and private deck. A
convertible sofa and day bed provide five beds in total. If you
need even more space, remember that you have access to three
more bedrooms and a loft in
Kaleidoscope as well.
The main level of the house contains the living room, dining
room and kitchen. All open to each other under a high vaulted
ceiling. The gourmet kitchen is fully stocked with all the pots,
pans and kitchen tools you might need as well as basic
ingredients like spices, oil, flour and sugar. If you run out of
ideas for what to cook, Solstice’s library has a large
collection of cookbooks and cooking magazines to inspire you.
Upstairs is the serene master bedroom overlooking the
gardens. On the opposite end of the upper level is the media
room, which contains a state-of-the-art home theater system
including an 8-foot -wide screen. A
day bed in the media room is a great place to relax and enjoy
the ocean view with a good book and can also be used as an extra
bedroom. A convertible sofa adds yet another sleeping option.
Upstairs is also home to the "puzzle nook" with a 7-foot high
crossword puzzle and other games.
Downstairs is another bedroom suite that overlooks the ocean, jungle and its own garden. Though on a lower level, the views
are superb, even from the shower! With its own sitting area, deck,
TV/DVD, air conditioning and separate entrance,
it is like a private get-away within this private get-away.
| Across the main-level garden is the third bedroom suite, separated from the main house, nestled
at the edge of the forest. It also has its own entrance, deck
and air conditioning. |

Solstice has a large shady deck off the
living room looking out to the ocean. An
assortment of chairs, loungers and a dining table make it a
great place to eat breakfast, read a book, socialize or
watch the sunset. An uncovered deck outside of the
upstairs media room provides the most expansive views of the
ocean and the surrounding forest. Each bedroom also has
its own deck where you can enjoy your morning coffee
while watching the tropical
birds make their daily rounds.
