The rental rate gives you exclusive use of both houses and
the cove. There are no additional cleaning fees or taxes. All
prices are in U.S. Dollars.
For example, the rent for 4 people during the peak season
will be $800 per night ($600 plus $50 times 4 people).
An $800 fully
refundable damage deposit is required.
The minimum stay is four nights. A 10% discount is available for stays of 12 nights or longer.
Payment Schedule
At the time of your booking, you will be sent more detailed
information about Solstice and the rental agreement. You will
have 7 days to review the information and agree to the terms. At
that point, 50% of the rental amount is required to hold the
reservation. Full payment, including the damage
deposit, is due 30 days before your stay.
We accept payment using major credit cards, PayPal,
bank-to-bank wire transfer, and personal checks drawn on U.S.
banks. No money orders or cashier's checks, please.
Payments are transacted in the United States and subject to
U.S. law.
Changes To Your Reservation
Number of guests: You may add or remove guests at any time
without penalty. When increasing the number of guests, payment
will be due according to the Payment Schedule. When decreasing
the number of guests, the corresponding per-person rental
payment will be refunded.
Adding nights of stay: This may be done at any time without
penalty. Additional payment will be due according to the Payment
Schedule.
Reducing nights of stay: See the Cancellations section below.
Changing to an earlier date: This may be done at any time
without penalty.
Changing to a later date with the change requested more than
60 days in advance of the original reservation: No penalty.
Changing to a later date with the change requested less than
60 days in advance of the original reservation: A fee of $100
per rental night will be assessed, though this will be refunded
for any dates that are later rented by others.
Cancellations
The following policies apply whether reducing the number of
days in your stay or for complete cancellation of a reservation.
Any
payments already made that exceed the cancellation fee will be
refunded. The damage deposit is always fully refunded for
cancellations.
Travel insurance is recommended if you want protection
against cancellation fees.
Cancellation fees are as follows:
Cancellations made more than 60 days before the start of the
rental period: $50 per canceled night.
Cancellations made between 30 and 60 days before the start of
the rental period: $200 per canceled night. If the house is
later rented for any of those nights, the fee for the rebooked
nights will be reduced to $50 per night.
Cancellations made less than 30 days before the start of the
rental period: $400 per canceled night. If the house is later
rented for any of those nights, the fee for the rebooked nights
will be reduced to $50 per night.
If your flight to Long Island is canceled because of weather
or if a hurricane forces you to leave part-way through your
stay, you will receive a full refund for the unused portion of
your rent.
Refund Schedule
Refunds according to the policies above will only be made
after the original payment has cleared. This may take up to 30
days though will normally be quicker.
